Annapurna Circuit Trekking
The magical 21 days Annapurna Circuit Trek to the heaven on earth along to the Thorung La pass of about 5,416 m .The enthusiasm of walking through world’s deepest Kali Gandaki George will surely be interesting. Annapurna I (8091m) east and Dhaulagiri (8167m) west intersect the pass Thorung La on the way from Manang to Muktinath. On the way we can view a fantastic view of green hill along with culturally rich ethnic groups that reside there at Annapurna Circuit. Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal which will guide us to the one of the highest peak of world, the Annapurna, ranging from a height of 800 meters to the altitude of 5,416 meters. After having a drive of around 8 to 9 hours from Kathmandu, we can reach at Khudi from where the trekking involves through the path of rice farms and green forests along with a culturally rich villages in the lower area of Annapurna Conservation Area.
Road trip to Annapurna region is a matter to cramp the head of many trekkers who are aspiring to walk through the Annapurna region. Day to day Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Google treks visit mustang will warmly and heartily receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). After the completion of our legal and custom formalities, we can forward to Google Treks Visit Mustang along with our luggage. There, either we can take rest or can have a short view of Kathmandu, that depends on your own interest or your condition. Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
We can have a shot and sweet sight view along to Kathmandu enriched with the natural and cultural heritages here like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath temple, Bauddhanath and many more. At the noon, the pre-trip discussion is held where we can ask if any queries regarding the trip and then coming adventure.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Besisahar to Khudi:
After having a drive of around 8 to 9 hours, we can reach to Khudi. Then we start our journey through the side of Trishuli River. Through the way we can see more of the greenery of Nepal along with rivers, cultivated farms and white snowcapped mountains. From Muglin , we headed towards Pokhara and leave the highway at Dumre and head north to Besisahar. Then a half an hour’s drive will take us to our place Khudi, which enables us to view a beauty of Manaslu range.
Day 04: Khudi to Sirung:
We start our journey to our destination from a wild walk of about 6 to 7 hours from Khudi to Sirung a the height of 2200m, along the way passing green forest, waterfalls, suspensions bridges and through the cultivable land. The way will be interesting where we can view a living style of typical Nepalese culture and ethnic groups. Sirung is the best place to have a home stay where we can enjoy a nice cultural programs and a beautiful scenario of Manaslu range.
Day 05: Sirung to Chamje:
From Sirung (1410m), we trek through the beautiful paddy land along to the cliff and sub tropical forests .The ever flowing Marsyangdi River will not let us to fell fatigue until we will reach Syange. But after Syange (1100m) we have to climb over the high hills which will be comparatively tougher. Then we can headed towards Jagat and Chamje.
Day06: Chamje to Dharapani:
Reaching the Chamje(1960m) indicates that we are now at Manang District. Here we pass through fields of corn, Barley, and potatoes. A village named as Tal, comes in our way .It is a beautiful village with lots of heart taking scenery of nature. We have to stay at Dharapani at night.
Day 07: Dharapani to Chame:
Standing at height of 2710m having several landslides, Dharapani enjoys a beautiful view. We can have a view of Lamjung Himal, Annapurna I and Annapurna IV in the way to Chame. The beautiful scenery of the path is a plus factor of beauty to this place.
Day 08: Chame to Pisang:
The narrow and steeply way to the very dense forest above 1500m from the river will bring a sense of calm and pleasure while walking. With altitude now we will see fewer and fewer vegetations. We have to pass several bridges as well. The U-shaped valley of Manang in between the two giant’s hills guided us towards Pisang.
Day09: Pisang to Manang:
Today, we will have to critical convergence of the two routes. The upper route through Upper Pisang via Geru, we can view fabulous sceneries. The breathtaking scenario of peak such as Annapurna, Pisang peak, and several other peaks will surely entertain us. The cold and dry climate of the way may be a fact of nerve for many fellow trekkers. Barge Monastery is the largest monastery of that region which is definitely a part of attraction and things to watch for.
Day 10: Manang:
Manang, is the almost destination of us as we have to stay a few hours here to get a knowledge of the altitude and the changing climate patterns. The stay at Manang is a best thing as the coming two days will be quiet challenging and risky as well from a sense of trekking to altitude patient. We will visit a Himalayan Rescue Association to get some ideas about altitude sickness and its preventive measures.
Day11: Manang to Yak Kharka:
From Manang village,(4110m) we climb over a village of Tenki above Monang and continue our journey towards the Marsyangdi valley. The trail passes through the beautiful Pasture lands and a forest of Juniper trees. The trail continues towards a small village Ghunsa, viewing beautiful scenery of Yak and Horses grazing in the green meadows. Overnight we may stay at Yak Kharka.
Day 12; Yak Kharka to Thorung Phedi:
Thorung Phedi (4600m) is the base of Annapurna. It is small but busy settlements for the needy and tried trekkers or climbers.General Trekkers use this place as a base camp. We can have a powerful nap here to recharge ourselves for the tomorrow’s hiking.
Day 13: Thorong Phedi to Thorung La (5416m) to Muktinath (3800m):
It takes around 7 to 8 hours for us to pass this route. The Journey that we will have here will have a lifetime most enjoying experiences .But; the day is not easier today. We‘ll have to pass several passes enjoying the beauty that god has given to this land. With the sun we have to walk and while sun sets, we will be at Muktinath, a important pilgrimage for Hindus. We spend our night at Muktinath.
Day14: Muktinath to Marpa:
Muktinath (2670m), itself carries its religious importance along with it’s natural beauty. After carrying the blessings from the God, we should now forward our steps towards the low part of the regions i.e. Kagbeni and then to Jomsom and to Marpha. Marpha is well known in the case of apple in Nepal. An Apple lover can enjoy different items made from Apple here. We‘ll like to stay here tonight.
Day15: Marpha to Kalopani:
From Marpha,(2530m) we can take 5 to 6 hours route across ethnical and traditional village of Thakali people named Chokhopani village. One can view a beautiful garden of Apple here. We continue our journey crossing river along to the Kokhethanti. It’s better to stay overnight at Kalopani.
Day 16: Kalopani to Tatopani:
Here we have to take a trip of 6 to 7 hours on the route of Kalopani to Tatopani (1200m). As we headed downwards, we can see forests and vegetations of different types. On the way, we can view Rupse waterfall. We can observe a powerhouse at Narchyang Besi. We experience more villages at this area and their lifestyles. After reaching Tatopani we will surely enjoy the Hot spring water and obviously a relaxing bath.
Day17: Tatopani to Ghorepani:
It lies at the height of around 9350ft where we can observe lifestyle of local inhabitant. We can view a spectacular view of high hills. We may stay a night at Ghorepani while we have to climb to Poon hill early tomorrow morning.
Day 18: Ghorepani to Tadapani:
The dawn at height of 2710m with a eye catching scenario of sunrise is a part of spectacular view of Ghorepani. We continue our trekking for the day to the greenery beauty of the regions to the Tadapani after having a trekking of about 6 to7 hours.
Day19: Tadapani to Ghandruk to Pokhara:
The exciting trek from the height of 850m to the down of the hills leads us towards the Ghandruk village, the second largest Gurung settlement in Nepal. By lunch, we have to reach at Nayapul and thereafter we can have a short bus ride back to Pokhara, Switzerland of Nepal. One can have a peaceful and enjoying time here. We will undoubtedly spend our night at Pokhara.
Day 20: Pokhara to Kathmandu:
The journey to Kathmandu from Pokhara is just a six hour drive. But the road way from Pokhara to Kathmandu is equally beautiful. We will be escorted back to Kathmandu at noon where we may spend the day leisurely and having rest. We will spend the night at Kathmandu with joy.
Day 21: Farewell Greetings:
Our magnificent journey comes to an ends today. Google Treks Visit Mustang will surely escort us to the airport and will arrange the farewell greetings.
