Annapurna Siklish Trekking
Annapurna Siklis trekking is the short and easy trek around the Pokhara valley. Siklis is the Gurung village which lies at the north east of the Pokhara valley on the foot hills of the Annapurna range. This trek is the ideal trek to interact with the ethnic Gurung people and experience their exotic culture and lifestyle. This trek also provides the opportunity to observe the superb panoramic view of the mountains like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal and many more of Annapurna region. In this trek you can do home stay which gives you the chance to immerse yourself in to the culture and lifestyle of the Gurung community. In this trek you also visit the village inhabited by other ethnic community like Magar, Chetries, and Brahmins etc and know their lifestyle and culture. In this trek you enjoy the view of the picturesque villages, terraced fields, forest of rhododendron and bamboo bushes, large meadows etc.
The short off the beaten Siklis trek begins with the short drive from Pokhara to Hemja which lies towards the north of the Pokhara valley. You pass through the wonderful villages like Ghachok, Ghalegoan, terraced farm, rhododendron and bamboo forest, large meadows etc. after three days you reach the charismatic Siklis village where you will be welcome with the singing and dancing in traditional folk song. They also show you their cultural performance which you will never forget in your life. While trekking you enjoy the uninterrupted view of the Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre etc. this trek is the moderate type of trekking which can be completed by anyone with moderate physical fitness. You can go for Siklis trek throughout the year; however the best season are autumn and spring when the weather is clear and you can have the clear view of the mountains as well as the natural scenery.
Day to day Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Google treks visit Mustang will warmly and heartily receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). After the completion of our legal and custom formalities, we can forwarded to Google treks visit Mustang along with our luggage. There, either we can take rest or can have a short view of Kathmandu, that depends on your own interest and your condition. Google treks visit Mustang will organize a reception dinner at tremendously beautiful and well facilitated restaurant enjoying Nepalese culture and obviously fine meal.
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing and Trek Preparation
We can have a shot and sweet sight view along to Kathmandu enriched with the natural and cultural heritages here like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath temple, Buddha and many more. At the noon, the pre-trip discussion is held where we can ask if any queries regarding the trip and then coming adventure.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara
Early Morning from Kathmandu we take a tourist bus to Pokhara which will take around 6 to 7 hours for us to reach there. We can view a heartwarming view all the way to Pokhara .Pokhara valley obviously offers us with a magnificent view Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu along with the spectacular view of many lakes. We may stay the night at Pokhara viewing the wonderful view of Lakeside and the cities of Pokhara.
Day 04: Pokhara to Kalikastan
Early morning with sun, we begin our trekking. We have to first drive over to Bijayapur Khola. Thereafter, the course of walking begins. After crossing the river, we have to move onward to Kalikastan. On the way, we will have our lunch. After walking for several hours we can reach to Kalikastan. The night will be at nearest guest house. The Kalikastan is located at the height of 1370m.
Day05: Kalikasthan to Lamakhet
The trails that followed Lamakhet from Kalikastan is about 6 hours. The trail goes through the village of mixed tribes. The way goes all along the river bank. The trails here is not difficult as many of you think. After walking for several hours we can reach ultimately at Kalikastan. The Kalikastan is situated at the altitude of 1680m.
Day06: Lamakhet to Siklis
Next morning, we begin the route from Lamakhet to Siklis. Here we have to walk around 6 hours. We have to trek our way to the Khilan Gaon and then to Parju village. We have to climb until we can reach to Siklis village which is one of the big Gurung village of Nepal and situated at the height of 1980m.
Day07: Siklis to Ghale Gaun via forest:
After walking for about 5 hours we can to reach to the forest nearer from Siklis. The route goes through the way to the Rhododendron and Sal forest. Continuing our way, we have to move downwards to the Ghale Gaon situating at the height of 2000m. The Ghale Gaun is a small village of Magar, Ghale and Gurung living over there.
Day 08: Ghale Gaun to Pokhara
We can trek to Pokhara from Ghale Gaun for about 3 hours. We continue our journey to Pokhara enjoying the natural beauty and greenery of the way. After walking for several hours we can reach to the Hyamgja (1070m) we can then take a bus to go to Pokhara. The night will be at Pokhara enjoying the sightseeing of the beautiful city.
Day 09: Pokhara to Kathmandu
After spending the night at Pokhara and having a fine breakfast, we will start the journey of Today towards Kathmandu. We will have a drive of around 6-7 hours in a tourist bus or from any other medium of transportation. We will stay the night at excellent Hotel of Kathmandu.
Day 10: Final departure
