Ganesh Himal trekking
Ganesh Himal trekking is located at the central eastern region of Nepal. We can see magnificent view of the glittering mountain range along with the clean and green forest. The name introduces itself as the name of elephant –headed God of Good fortune and Prosperity. It is the nearest mountain from Kathmandu valley. There are several mountain ranges here. They are Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, and Ganesh IV. Budhi Gandaki is located at its west and Bhote Koshi in the east. Similarly, we can enjoy the heartwarming scene of Langtang range, Shringi Himal, Himalchuli, Manaslu range, and many more peaks while trekking to this area. Similarly, we can see many beautiful villages that come along the way while making our trip to Ganesh Himal. We can see the beautiful twin waterfalls named as Ganga and Jamuna which will delight ourselves. Himalayan Trekking Nepal suggested March and April as the best season to visit at this area. We have to travel through the forest of rhododendron and pine where we can see many beautiful vegetation along with many distinct wildlife as well.
Our journey to the Himalayas starts from the few drive over to Dhunche from Kathmandu. After getting off from the Himalayas, we have to follow the main trail to Shingla pass and Pasang la pass. The Shingla pass is situated at the height of 4200m and The Pasang La pass is located at the altitude of 4100m. We can see the most panoramic view over to the Himalayas from these two points. Our expedition ends at Dhading Besi from where we can catch a medium of transportation to get ourselves back to Kathmandu.
Day 01: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi
Form Kathmandu, Google treks visit Mustang commence our journey through driving towards Syabrubesi. It will take around 7 to 8 hours for us in our private vehicle to reach there. We can entertain ourselves by watching the beautiful scene of the road. Our trail follows the Trishuli river to Dhunche and Ramche Gaon .
Day 02: Syabrubesi to Gatlang
After having the early morning breakfast, we have to move towards Gatlang through Bahundanda. We will stop ourselves at Chaw tar. Following the main trail we can reach at Gatlang within a few hours trek. Gatlang is a Tamang village where we can identify the magnificent culture of Tamang community.
Day 03: Gatlang to Parvati Kunda to Somdang
Early morning, we can visit to Parvati Kunda. It is a holy place where people used to visit at Janai Purnima. Thereafter, we have to descend ourselves to Yuri Kharka. We continue down the trail leads us towards Somdang River. The Somdang River is situated as the border of Rasuwa and Dhading districts. The route passes through the panoramic Chukarma waterfall. The night, we will stay the nearest lodges at the height of 3271m.
Day 04: Somdang to Pasang la pass
With the sun, we have to resume our journey through the beautiful forest. After walking through the beautiful forest for several hours, we can reach at Pasang la pass at the height of 3842m. we have to trek around 3 to 4 hours to complete our today’s objective. We can use the camp and tent to spend the night at Pangsang la pass.
Day 05: Pangsang to Sertung
We should move towards Tipling. We can have our lunch there. Along the way we can see a Cremation Place for both Buddhist and Christians. We also can glimpse several gumbas lined with colorful flags. Following the path direct to our nose, we can reach at Sertung. It is one of the largest Tamang communities of Nepal. From the point we can view a spectacular view of Lapsang Karpo, Ganesh Himal and several beautiful mountains.
Day06: Sertung to Jharlang village
From Sertung, we have two options to make the trip short or long. But Google treks visit Mustang Nepal suggests thee shortcut way that goes through the downhill passing the forest area to Jharlang . We have to walk around 5 to 6 hours. The overnight will be at Jharlang.
Day 07: Jharlang to Dharka Phedi
Early morning with breakfast, we have to break our route. We have to walk around 4 to 5 hours to reach at Dharka Phedi. We can see the panoramic view of mountains along with the combination of forest while making our trip dawn to the hill. From here, there may be facility of vehicle to Dhading Besi.
Day08: Dharka Phedi to Dhading Besi to Kathmandu
There is a good provision of transportation to Dhading Besi. We have to drive for around 3 to 4 hours on the medium of transportation available here. Furthermore, we have to drive around 3 to 4 hours to get back to Kathmandu.
Day09: Final Departure
After having a fine night at Kathmandu, we should wake up early in the morning and have to be ready for our departure to our homeland.
